Pros

Higher wage for harder positions Adheres and complies to state laws for care of disabled individuals. Compassionate workers across the board.

Cons

Absolutely worked to death. I worked in q crisis home and we desperately needed more people on each shift, to the downfall of our personal safety. Multiple staff members, including myself, making ER trips from injuries caused by assaults from clients. Due to the desperation for staff, management was pretty ruthless with any time off for any reason, including work-related injuries/illnesses. Not enough pay for the level of work and danger of work. Worst health insurance ever.

We appreciate your feedback about working at our crisis home. Our organization did recently increase wages at over 50% of our programs and will continue to revisit increases based on funding/qualifications of staff and needs of program along with cost of living adjustments. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to talk about our time off policies/work comp, insurance, ect. Thank you, HR Director of Recruiting
