Pros
There are opportunities for advancement but you have to be willing to put in the effort, more are retiring so there is even more room for growth depending on your specialty.
Cons
The poor Sr Exec leadership is apparent in the misaligned internal operations throughout the entire organization. This trickles down in every department throughout the system as people who are uneducated and aloof as to what the long term affects of the continued hole is, continue to blindly do what "they've always done" and then corporate wastes money on external consultants and third party sources trying to fix a problem execs should be able to fix. The future of this organization is threatened. The extent of the operational inefficiencies of MLH have been revealed with COVID and it is a beast. No one wants to talk about the actual fix, but they'd rather put a band aid on it. Years of underpaid front line staff, departments operating the way they want, antiquated processes, and close minded mentalities have caught up. The market is no longer in the favor of the hospital and they have no clue how to fix it.
