Pros

Hours are great, good benefits, Union so the pay is pretty good

Cons

Definitely don’t make the money that you deserve to make. Empty promises about merit raises that never happen. Store Directors that do absolutely nothing and make bank. No support from Store Director because they are too busy sitting at their desk all day. CEO and VP care for no one but themselves, and don’t care when you give legit concerns about how stores are ran. They push people to quit because of the lack of leadership and teamwork. They don’t care that good people leave and they use other team members to do their job because they are too lazy to actually work. Promise people certain positions, train them, use them to benefit themselves, and then don’t promote. Hardly ever promote within, so good team members don’t move up as promised. They push around the ones that won’t stick up for themselves.

Pros

I’ve had to work for two metropolitan markets, one in Tacoma (temp) and one in gig harbor. Both had great people working there. I made good friends there and I felt very welcome. Employees who work there get a 20% discount in everything which is nice because the food quality there is great, there’s always something new to try there!

Cons

I would say the pay isn’t great; it’s a step up from working at Albertsons or any other entry job, but it’s not super livable unless you work there for a long time, 5 years plus.

Pros

Flexible schedule and easy routine work

Cons

Reptitive work and often understaffed. Some months can be harder to have consistent hours
