Pros

Nice campus with an onsite cafeteria, gym, game room, and lunchroom. The campus was built in 2018 with the open office concept which takes a little getting used to but once you do, it’s actually much better than traditional cubicles. Location in Lutz is nice being that it’s located right off of the expressway in Pasco. All desks have adjustable standing/sitting positions. Office chairs are super comfy. Depending on what department you work in teams can be collaborative and managers can be supportive. The workload is not a lot and the day ends when you leave at the end of the day. No weekends EVER.

Cons

This is where things get weird. They don’t pay anywhere near what other industry leading manufacturers pay. Literally half the salary at Mettler than others of companies the same size. “Promotions” will only net you 1-2% more in pay but double your work responsibilities. Parking. The facility outgrew itself within the first 2 years and parking is not enough for the number of employees that work there. If you get there after 8 you’re parking out in BFE. The safety manager will have your car towed if not parked in a designated space. HR is non existent as most large companies have also gone this way as well. HR is there more to help get you fired and help the company vs actually helping employees and be a human resource. There seems to have been a shift in HR over the last 15 years where all HR departments have tended to go this way so it shouldn’t really be a surprise. Work is pretty boring and slow. There’s no path upwards if you want to stay in procurement unless you’re either from Ohio or want to move to Ohio. Nearly every manager in the entire facility is from Columbus Ohio and when an opening for any management position opens it will be filled by someone who works up in Ohio. Remote flexibility is non-existent. After being home-based for an entire year during Covid while implementing SAP and navigating supply shortages without a hiccup management feels they can’t trust employees and forced everyone back in to the office. Lastly, I’ll mention it twice because it needs to be mentioned…..the pay! The entire purchasing group besides two long timers and the managers has turned over and all of us left for the same reason. Salary is garbage in their purchasing group. Worst part is seeing kids out of college in the engineering group come in and make close to 6 figures and not know what the heck they are doing.

Pros

Close to home. Flexible hours, Can run my business from home and work at the same time. No one really cares what you do when you work from home. Just need to keep your manager happy, Attended a few meeting till the day i retired

Cons

The salary is below market. If you are an old timer like me you are put at the bottom of the list. Very biased to certain ethnic community. HR is very biased and ignorant specially the person incharge. Any questions you ask them 100% of the time you will not hear back. Too many people milking the system, I was one of them. Management does not have a plan on how to fix the broken systems as they keep on hiring incompitent people. When they hire good people they leave as no support for new ideas or changes that would make it efficient
