Pros

On paper, the company looks great. The role, responsibilities, and overall mission sounded exciting during the interview process. The interview experience itself was well run and positive, and there were some talented individuals working there.

Cons

Unfortunately, the reality did not fully align with the expectations that were set during the interview process. I found the team environment challenging, with limited psychological safety and support. I did not pass my probation, which came as a surprise as there had been no prior indication or formal feedback suggesting performance concerns. The decision was communicated at the end of the working day during what was scheduled as a regular 1:1, without any preceding performance improvement discussions or opportunity to address issues. Following the meeting, a message was sent to the wider team informing them of my departure, and my access was removed. The process felt abrupt and impersonal, and could have been handled with more care. I chose not to challenge the outcome, as I knew my employment rights were limited at that stage. This reflects my personal experience and may not be representative of everyone’s. Prospective employees may find it helpful to ask questions about team culture, feedback processes, and how probation is managed.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and personal review, and for calling out both the interview experience and the talented people you met along the way. At the same time, we’re sorry that the way your probation ended did not match the culture we’re trying to build. Feedback and transparency are very important to us, and we expect managers to set clear expectations early and use regular 1:1s to talk about what’s going well and where there are concerns, so people have a fair sense of how things are going. Your experience shows we don’t always get this right, and we’ll keep investing in how we support managers and communicate around probation so that, whatever the outcome, the process feels fair and respectful.

Pros

The best corporate experience I’ve ever had. People are easy to engage with, you’re always able to go to anyone in the business for questions or requests, and there is a lot of opportunity for immense visibility (in a good way!). It’s a rare experience to feel so critical, valued, and individualized in a company and I have felt that every day over the last year. Truly a wonderful company with some really great people.

Cons

Can be really fast paced at times, you have to be willing to be self sufficient and a good getter mentality to handle ambiguous circumstances at times. With time zone challenges, you also have to be adaptable and quick for certain requests.

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. It’s wonderful to hear you’ve felt so valued, visible and able to make an impact over the past year. That’s the experience we want people to have at Mews. You’re right that our pace calls for proactivity and ownership, and working across time zones adds another layer of complexity to navigate. We’re glad that’s felt like a worthy trade-off.

Pros

there are awesome people that work at mews!

Cons

- tons of internally meetings every single day that take away from reps being able to do their job - lots of internal trainings as well - processes were constantly changing - high quotas that are impossible to hit so you will not see much $ in commission
