Unfortunately, the reality did not fully align with the expectations that were set during the interview process. I found the team environment challenging, with limited psychological safety and support. I did not pass my probation, which came as a surprise as there had been no prior indication or formal feedback suggesting performance concerns. The decision was communicated at the end of the working day during what was scheduled as a regular 1:1, without any preceding performance improvement discussions or opportunity to address issues. Following the meeting, a message was sent to the wider team informing them of my departure, and my access was removed. The process felt abrupt and impersonal, and could have been handled with more care. I chose not to challenge the outcome, as I knew my employment rights were limited at that stage.
