Pros

Mews has great investors, and a great product, and great people who work for them. The investments are a testament to the confidence in the future.

Cons

Mews is losing the X factor that brought many of us here. Little by little we start to notice changes - in the travel, in the food that is catered at in person events, in the way people are treated. There were a few senior sales & marketing managers that created a channel called "mafia" that signifies that certain people here feel unchecked and untouchable. "Mafia", synonymous with organized crime, is not a term of endearment and speaks volumes to how there is a certain level of leadership that feels they are above the law here. There are a few leaders and employees that feel free to curse (multiple times, at company events, they are vulgar, offensive and off putting) even while on stage, the confidence is obvious, they know they are "safe". The founders are out of touch with the subculture that is being created and are at such a high level it escapes them. Certain leaders have goals that are absolutely out of touch - a high % of reps at 100% of goal in sales as one example. This unrealistic goal from people with 0 experience in the field of hospitality we are in puts unneeded pressure on teams. I’m concerned that some of the recent leadership decisions don’t seem to align with the compassionate culture we were introduced to during orientation in Prague. For instance, we hear that in some cases, employees who are already dealing with significant personal challenges—such as a family loss—are immediately placed on performance improvement plans. This approach feels counterproductive and, frankly, quite inhumane. I believe that a more supportive and empathetic method would not only honor our core values but also lead to better long-term outcomes for both the team and the company. I’d love to see our leadership explore alternative strategies that consider the human side of these decisions. They roll out products that weren't ready for rollout and cost people jobs.

Thank you for the review. Firstly, I see you are a current employee and you seem to care deeply about the culture and values, which is amazing. Every team has a People Business Partner you can reach out to at any time to talk confidentially about challenges in the workplace. That will ensure we can get to the core of the problem better, than a lot of feedback without context, which is hard to follow up on. I have questions about most of the statements you make here, because while I agree we expect strong performance of our team members, there is a lot of nuance that is missed in your review. I hope you will reach out to myself, or your People Business Partner, so that we can best address this. Matt/CEO

Pros

The best corporate experience I’ve ever had. People are easy to engage with, you’re always able to go to anyone in the business for questions or requests, and there is a lot of opportunity for immense visibility (in a good way!). It’s a rare experience to feel so critical, valued, and individualized in a company and I have felt that every day over the last year. Truly a wonderful company with some really great people.

Cons

Can be really fast paced at times, you have to be willing to be self sufficient and a good getter mentality to handle ambiguous circumstances at times. With time zone challenges, you also have to be adaptable and quick for certain requests.

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. It’s wonderful to hear you’ve felt so valued, visible and able to make an impact over the past year. That’s the experience we want people to have at Mews. You’re right that our pace calls for proactivity and ownership, and working across time zones adds another layer of complexity to navigate. We’re glad that’s felt like a worthy trade-off.

Pros

there are awesome people that work at mews!

Cons

- tons of internally meetings every single day that take away from reps being able to do their job - lots of internal trainings as well - processes were constantly changing - high quotas that are impossible to hit so you will not see much $ in commission
