Pros

Discounts on cheaply made merchandise.

Cons

Clicky management that plays favorites with long term employees. Most new employees are stuck doing all the hard work and treated poorly, while management and leads hang out in the break room either gossiping or on their phones when it's not even break time. No sense of direction and a whole lot of micro managing. Most staff did not pick up after themselves. POS system was dated and merchandise almost always had some type of flaws yet still would be sold to people.

Pros

At one point it was the discounts til they changed the policies up during my fifth (and final year at the store). Aside from that, working with my fellow colleagues were the ones responsible for keeping the work environment together and made the experience much more fun and bearable.

Cons

As a part-timer, there's no benefits or any additional incentives. They'll "reduce your hours" if you're not meeting sales "expectations" by zoning you in different parts of the store that doesn't have a lot of foot traffic (i.e. cashier or front of house). Depending on who you work with on the management side of things... this job can make or break you. Last group of managers I had were NOT the most ideal examples when you give them "actionable feedback" and not follow through with their expectations.
