Pros

Michael Kors does employ amazing people. When asked what I loved about my job my answer has always been the same, the people. Some of the most talented, passionate people I know have worked for this Brand.

Cons

Operationally, and really over-all, the company is a train wreck. Over the years too many voices and too much turnover in the Corporate office and upper management lead to a feeling of being in an abusive relationship with a schizophrenia lover.

Pros

I have no pros to share at this time.

Cons

The President of retail Jaryn Bloom needs to retire - she is condescending, rude and is lacking the skills required to negotiate the corporate world in 2021. The company lacks diversity, if you are not white, size 4 and young - forget it. VP level are the team members who suck up to her, not necessarily those who have the skills to do the job.

20% pay cuts

Pros

Entrepreneurial office environment and friendly coworkers

Cons

Take from employees to make up for poor financial management. All employees received a 20% paycut, cancelled bonuses and cancelled 401k match. Understanding with the current Covid situation but unlike all other brands, MK has no plans to give this money back for a year, if even that. They refuse to give any clear communication on dates of when the cut in salary will end. Rumor is a year, which means anyone coming into the company new will be 20% under market value “You are lucky you have a job” is the upper management’s response to questions about this issue.

Thank you for your comment. As with many other companies at this time, we have had to make some very difficult decisions to ensure the long-term health of our brand. We understand this is affecting everyone significantly, and we will take your feedback into consideration as we look forward to the future. -Michael Kors Human Resources
