Pros

You’ll gain insight into what poor management and misaligned company values look like. Work tasks are generally simple and repetitive—ideal if you're seeking low-complexity responsibilities. If you align closely with the right personalities, you may experience a lighter workload and more schedule flexibility. HR director actually seems to care but they're fighting a losing battle against the rest of leadership.

Cons

The culture is siloed, uncollaborative, and heavily driven by favoritism. Different teams often don’t support one another, and leadership does little to encourage cross-functional cooperation. Career progression is unclear or nonexistent. There’s no formal path for growth, and advancement often seems based on subjective favoritism rather than merit or contribution. Highly competent employees are not only undervalued but sometimes treated as threats. During my tenure, I saw multiple capable colleagues pushed out via performance plans or subtle smear campaigns. Management often displays insecurity and emotional volatility, leading to inconsistent expectations. Speaking up or offering constructive feedback can put your role at risk. There’s no structured onboarding or training. You’re expected to “figure it out,” and clarifying questions are frequently ignored or answered after long delays. Office policies, including working hours and remote flexibility, vary drastically depending on who you ask. There’s little consistency between HR, direct managers, and senior leadership. I witnessed repeated instances of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from management toward clients and essential third-party consultants. This directly led to client attrition and significantly increased vendor costs, which was both embarrassing and concerning as an employee. It was disheartening and embarrassing to witness the dismissive and disrespectful treatment of warehouse and hourly workers by corporate leadership. These employees are essential to operations but were consistently undervalued and spoken down to. Compensation is average, but not enough to justify the daily emotional toll or career stagnation. Concerns related to inappropriate or uncomfortable behavior were brushed aside rather than properly addressed.

Little behind on new job trends, but I see progress. New employee training can be a bit rushed.

Pros

The Board of Directors were a great team to work with and for.

Cons

Where to start… The benefits were terrible for a family or expanding family. Management is an absolute mess. There’s no clear communication between them leaving those who work under them severely in the dark. They question your hard work when you work after hours often. Additionally, the lack of care for the individual as a human blows my mind.
