Pros

As long as you meet every expectation and don’t cause a concern, you’ll have minimal contact from management.

Cons

Must be a part of the good ole boys club to progress into management. They manipulate the hiring process and timing to get who they want regardless of other applicants. Also, manipulate the timing of promotions to occur near annual evaluations/raises. Which if you don’t say or draw concern to it, you’ll be shorted on a fair compensation. They pay just enough to keep employees content. It’s those who speak up or draw concern to leave after a length of employment that are responded with a negotiated pay. Jim Bob, a 3 year employee can be making more than John Doe, a seven year employee just because Jim Bob was aware of his compensation and wasn’t afraid to speak up about being shorted on a annual eval/raise because he was promoted 1 month from eval time with no consideration of that expected annual raise with his promotional compensation package. They will collect meta data on every thing you do. Average length of time of each task, gps, time at office, amount of time and tasks performed on computer, whom you call/text. The moment you fall short, show a concern or a report given to management (even if it is not fact) they will utilize every last meta data they have on you since your beginnings to investigate and if necessary reprimand/fire you with little to no warning.

Pros

Good shifts. Most major holidays off. I enjoy working with my supervisor and their director. Free internet.

Cons

Everyone above the director position seems to be Losing the heartbeat of what's going on in the world. We're discouraged from asking about cost of living wage increases. I asked in the past and was told to use a financial consultant benefit (lux) which was an insult although they likely didn't realize this. Employee surveys were switched to bi-annual which is a terrible idea. Total compensation is becoming significantly less competitive. We have some employees who drive Ashton Martins to work and others who are worried about how we stay afloat and debt free in this economy. Midco upper management appears none deaf or apathetic to this concern. The company is investing in AI which is disconcerting as someone who would likely lose their job. Sales tools are so antiquated and no end in sight of a viable sales tool (despite over a decade of asking for one). Career progression is stagnant. The only progression offered is a higher sales goal. Sales is a dead end if you have higher aspirations. Quality of life for front end employees has gone downhill since Ben Dold took over. Pat cared about the front line. Ben hardly acknowledges the work we do to keep the lights on.
