Pros

I was at Midland for over a year. There was no training for my role (they have since started a training class). Unreasonable goals and expectations were thrown at you at the last minute. Management didn't care how much you worked as long as you hit their numbers. HR is a joke. They are supposed to be there to support managers and employees but only cover the company. Met with them several times about poor employees and they would turn it around and blame the managers. My manager was never available and when she was, there was no help. Upper management lived in glass houses. They literally never left their offices. The bonuses were primarily reserved for upper management. The maximum annual bonus is $1,000 which few received. We had a leadership meeting where the HR person stated on 2 separate occasions that she had not read the policies.

Cons

Read the negative reviews. They are more realistic than the positive reviews. We were told at one meeting to submit positive reviews

Setting our employees up for success and creating an environment where leaders care about their employees’ career-growth is incredibly important to us because we know that exceptional people achieve more together. Over the past year we have completely revamped our on-boarding program, implemented Managerial Effectiveness trainings, and increased our self-development offerings. Recent survey results show we are making a positive impact, with over 80% of employees feeling their manager cares about their well-being and keeps their commitments.
