Midwest Veterinary Supply

Engaged Employer

It's a small company with some people working hard. They have an insane time-clock policy. - Anonymous employee Midwest Veterinary Supply Employee Review

Pros

There are some fun people that know what they are doing. In general people are trying their best to get the job done and to do it well. There are always the people that don't but those are a minority here.

Cons

The time-clock! They require that office staff that are hourly use a time-clock. This would be fine to simply track hours but there is zero flexibility in the policy. If you clock in at 8:02 you are late. You can clock in no earlier than 7:53 but don't bother because you aren't paid until 8 even if you would like to. This applies to the end of the day as well. It's ridiculous to equate punching a clock at a specific time schedule to success. Track peoples hours but allow them to work when they get there and not make them waste time waiting for 8. This isn't an assembly line!

Pros

One of the best things about working here is the company's size — it's small enough that every employee has a voice and can contribute to meaningful changes. You never feel like just a number. There's a strong, family-oriented culture that makes the workplace feel welcoming and supportive. There are also plenty of opportunities for professional growth and development. Leadership is approachable and genuinely open to connecting with employees at all levels, which fosters a strong sense of transparency and collaboration. The company operates in a recession-resistant industry and continues to experience steady growth, which adds to job stability and long-term career potential. Overall, it's a great place to build a career.

Cons

The company's fast-paced growth, while exciting, can sometimes lead to growing pains. At times, it can be difficult to keep up with the changes and maintain consistency across teams and processes.

Pros

Not many. It really changed for the worse after owner retired

Cons

Leadership went downhill quickly. Not sure who’s running the company right now. Hopefully a change was made
