Pros

Culture of micro and mis -management leads to apathy, so it's easy to numb out. It's hard to sweat the small stuff when the whole place is dumpster fire!

Cons

There are too many "cons" to draft a complete list, but the following comes to mind: - Poor program development/management: In the 11 months I worked here, I has a caseload of less than 20 due to a lack of referrals. I sat in a HALLWAY because they hired me without having space to put me. I was told the Family Preservation Center would open in Fall 2022. As of Feb. 2024, it is still not open. - Lack of transparency from management: my grant was lost and I was never informed, simply moved to another grant without my knowledge. - Culture of Apathy and Mistrust: Clients hate being, staff hate being there, the whole place is a bummer and it appears everyone is A-OK with that! - Wasteful allocation of resources: they prioritize flashy new projects over adequately maintaining existing programs; it appears the CEO has free reign to waste money however he chooses. Not to mention, the CEO has virtually no experience working in the field (Masters of Ed. obtained in 2005 and became a CEO in 2006...?) - Leadership does not respect self-determination of clients; white savior complex runs strong here! - Managers/Directors are VERY cliquey: professionalism and accountability is desperately lacking. - Offices are overcrowded and frankly, unhygienic: rotting food and dead bugs galore!

Thank you for your review and feedback. We have a open door policy and would of loved to have address any concerns or questions you had when you were employed. We always go above and beyond for our employees and we love the work we do. In regard to the Family Preservation Center, we don't have control of contractors and renovation timelines are always subject to change. As of April 2024 it has been opened. Office space was supported during that time. In regard to the grant, we follow a process and inform all staff when a grant is changing and always support staff in continuing on another grant. And if you had questions regarding this, we would of loved to clarify anything for you. We want all staff to be enjoy the work they do, and strive to provide a great work environment and culture. All resources are carefully and appropriately allocated. In regard to leadership they are held to same standards as all employees and all policies and procedures. If you had an issue, would of loved to been able to address any concerns you had. As we cannot address any matters if they are not brought to our attention. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope you find something that is a great fit for you. In the future, we suggest bringing any matters of concern or any questions up in the moment so that your employer can help support and address them for you.

Working for mile high has changed my life for the better management is very understanding when it comes to family and self-care. They are easy to talk with and when problems come up they act fast to find a solution.

Cons

Every job has cons....but the only con for mile high that I can think of is there is limited office space. :)

Pros

Meaningful work, amazing clients, and a strong team. My team was one of the best teams I have ever worked with. Most of the know what they're doing, and if they don't, they will go through the appropriate channels to figure it out. Obviously, the clients are always tough in community mental health, though my former clients and coworkers were the only reasons I stayed for as long as I did.

Cons

Management. To put it plainly, if you're not a favorite, prepare to be pushed to the side every single time. There are also significant pay disparities between programs without logical justification.
