Pros

- Good benefits - Free Beer - Free lunch every quarter - Summer and Christmas parties - Work from home on Wednesdays

Cons

- Company new policy for agile is a mess; - Company prefer to listen to few people about the issue in instead of the entire community of developers; - Integration between teams/tribes is only to find issues and never to solve a problem; (Basically, any issue outside the "tribe", is an escuse to say that is not your problem); - Line Managers has tied hands to do changes because of the "tribes", which leads to everybody having at least 2 direct managers. - If you are not in a good "tribe", forget about getting a promotion. - Very obscure ways to select devs that exceeded the expectations. Not a single word about how they were selected is explained. - Apparently, only the top 1% of the devs (which would mean around 3-5 people) received a bonus in shares. Again, no public announcement was made about it. - No space to get creative. No time for that, your sprint is your live and you need to finish it. - Either de CEO is too busy to worry about the Engineering or he don't care. Not a single word about the issues came from him.

Pros

Great office, catered lunch daily. Great benefits, 4 weeks PTO to start plus paid holidays, floating holidays, sick time. Culture is flexible, vibrants, friendly people.

Cons

Frequent changed and pivoting but senior leadership listens to employees which is good.

Pros

No pros that you can't get at another company. There are some amazing people left here, but not many - most have been layed off or have jumped ship to avoid said layoffs.

Cons

Mimecast is a company that, unfortunately, no longer cares about their employees after being acquired by Permira a few years ago. Rolling, silent layoffs are near constant, so you never know whether or not you're next on the chopping block this month. Benefits have been on a steady decline for years, pay raises and salary are borderline embarassing (and their main NA office is in one the highest cost of living areas in the state FYI), the culture is one of genuine disdain for their workers, the company can't stop hemorrhaging customers due to their lack of innovation. Leadership is chaotic and constantly changing.
