Meanwhile, higher-level roles appear with low requirements and are given to cheaper external hires while qualified internal employees are sidelined or discouraged from applying. • Raises and bonuses are underwhelming. One profitable quarter, bonuses were cut to less than half of target, followed by "We Appreciate You" cookies from HR - a tone-deaf gesture that highlighted the disconnect. • Hybrid policy has a clear double standard - most leaders work remotely, while others are held to an overly broad “commuting distance” rule. • Departments operate in silos with limited cross-functional collaboration.
