Pros

I have the honor to be one of the community liaisons at Mindful Therapy Group. The MTG owners and leadership truly believe in the importance of a healthy and positive culture that makes this place a safe space for all providers, staff and clients. There is a community liaison assigned to each location, and all liaisons are clinicians practicing within MTG. Community liaisons offer support to on-boarding providers, facilitate monthly consult groups and host seminars on clinical topics and practice management skills for those who are wanting to strengthen their practice. I am grateful to be part of an innovative company that believes in the power of a community and empowers its members like myself to facilitate settings to support our colleagues.

Pros

Super transparent about the entire process including costs, caseload ramp up, Mindful expectations and limitations right from the beginning! I have never felt pressured, micromanaged or taken advantage of in any way and in fact it is the opposite! I’ve felt like I have so much support, excellent supervision opportunities and got paid faster than expected too! ;) Every single human I’ve interacted with who is affiliated with MTG has been genuinely lovely. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to partner with MTG and find better work/life balance!

Cons

Not really a “con” for MTG but just private practice for an associate in general is to be prepared for a lower take home percentage until you are fully licensed. TRUST ME though, what you are “paying” is so worth it for the support you get.
