Pros
Nice building, individual people are great, sense of camaraderie from stress
Cons
- High Turnover for client-facing positions. Because of the stress of understaffing and constant pressure to overperform, new faces are common, and I was constantly training. - Job was billed as a coordinator role, but really became sales. Getting providers clients was a higher priority then matching clients with providers that met their needs. - False sense of transparency. Workers were encouraged to bring their problems to the management, but were subsequently patronized and concerns dismissed. - I was asked to leave a company review while on the clock, with a manager basically over my shoulder. Doesn't encourage true feedback. - Growth valued over employee wellbeing. - Constant Catch-22: Overtime was EXTREMELY discouraged, facing cut hours if you went over frequently. BUT managers consistently expected closers to be on the phones until the last second and completing closing duties in under 15 minutes (which was nowhere near enough time, but telling managers this was not received well). - Time-off and employee health/safety were not priorities. In the slightest. Workers were encouraged to come to work while sick. COVID-19 was absolutely not taken seriously when it started, and workers were back in office after only a few months of working at home, even when callers were squeezed into a small space and unable to social distance.
