Pros
Front of house staff are generally wonderful people
Cons
MTG has some big obstacles to overcome as they expand and it would do upper management well to consider the following: employ proactive problem identification instead of constantly scrambling to pivot members of your team. You set your front of house staff up for success when they are allowed to learn each process thoroughly (these are the basic fundamentals of education). They say they are a small company but have grown and expanded to the point where it would be in their best interest to hire an out of house business management group to keep that ball rolling and ensure policies are set in place that not only continue to drive that growth in the right directions and set operation standards from upper management to front of house as you expand. Consistency is key in the making of any brand. Mindful will always give you an unreasonable amount of work to "grow you" and never fairly compensate you for said work. It has been one of the most invalidating, frustrating, and infuriating parts of the job. In that vein, most entry scheduling jobs at clinics and hospitals pay a base of $23 or more for entry level positions with no pivots, less work, and better hours. Don't expect anywhere near that here. They tout being a "mindful" company but only when it suits them and their needs. If you are sick, guess what?! Your sick time and your vacation time are the same thing. As an employee, don't expect to matter. If you truly value your mental health, find employment elsewhere.
