Pros
Discounted food, free coffee, access to the gym, the resident run thrift store, resident art installations
Cons
Absolute chaos. Management and marketing sit in their ivory tower while workers toil in unsafe and unpredictable conditions. Only one security guard on duty at a time working 12-hour shifts with no breaks. Poor communication between departments constantly led to angry residents and family members. Maintenance and facilities departments did not communicate when repairs were scheduled for the elevators, so residents would be stranded on their floors and understandably upset. Staff turnover is very high and tensions also run high because everyone is stretched so incredibly thin. Management tries to push the geriatric equivalent of Facebook on residents as the only place to submit maintenance requests, schedule trips, reserve rooms, etc. - 80% of the residents are not comfortable using a computer.
