Pros

Solution is best in their space for now

Cons

Hitting quota is extremely rare, more reps come and go without closing a single deal than reach quota, which is partly due to poor decision making, dysfunction and refusal to respond to changes in the market. All of which starts with leadership. The top down organizational philosophy of saving pennies whenever possible has resulted in almost every talented employee that helped grow the startup into what it is today leaving the company. What's left is layers of middle management with no function or desire to fill one. There is no real career progression path, on the rare occasion they give a promotion what they're typically offering is taking on more responsibility without a pay or title adjustment. The sales strategy and territories are constantly changing in ways that are obviously bad decisions to anyone working a book. 2022 saw two separate complete overhauls to how the org is structured and as a result 0 reps hit quota. The company found success early, but assumed they would scale forever, cut corners on talent and they're left with a toxic culture and a revolving door of leadership with no experience or understanding of the company, the product or how to sell it. Mirakl hasn't been a good company to work for in years and now there are plenty of competitors in the space that offer better value to customers, better career progression and a better work environment.

Pros

- experience to put on your resume

Cons

They typically don’t do return offers, which kinda defeats one of the main benefits of being an intern/co-op. Also, they have so many co-ops and even co-ops with no full-time person who does the same job. So there’s limited learning opportunities as a co-op, and it comes off like Mirakl is just looking for cheap, temporary labor. You can also end up severely overworked and overwhelmed depending on your manager. Expect unpaid overtime depending on your team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your co-op experience does not reflect the environment we strive to create. We would really appreciate the opportunity to better understand your perspective. Learning and development are core to us. Our early career programs are designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience, with close collaboration within the team and regular check-ins so interns and apprentices can learn, contribute, and grow throughout their time at Mirakl. Depending on business needs, team structure, and available openings, a permanent role may not always be possible — and this is made clear from the interview process. Whenever it is possible, we strongly encourage and promote this option, that's why in 2025, around 20% of our interns/apprentices continued at Mirakl in a permanent role. We also take workload and work-life balance very seriously. We encourage open communication and early escalation when someone feels overwhelmed, whether with a manager or a People Partner, so that solutions and support can be put in place. We’re sorry if you didn’t feel able to benefit from this, and we continue to train and support our managers on these topics. We wish you all the best for the rest of your career. – The People Team
