Pros
Unfortunately, all the pros were in the past. Mirantis used to be a great open source company with amazing culture and projects. It was probably the best place for an IT engineer in my country. Job was fun, interesting and well paid. These pros were valid till the mid of 2016.
Cons
Mirantis is changing its strategy almost each quarter. The last change, which happened 1-2 months ago, was the biggest and the worst one. Mirantis decided to buy a small startup for over $30M which were doing similar product (this is a publicly know information, you can Google for the details). Unfortunately, this product didn't work. When folks from this startup made the first demo for the whole Mirantis audience, it failed. Despite that, top-level management decided to lay off a lot of old employees which were working on the product that Mirantis was developing for years. A lot of great employees were both laid off or left the company on their own.
