Pros

EASY WAY TO MAKE $! When Modis is hopping with jobs you can make an easy 10 grand in commissions. Modis really invests in their employees and the work/life balance is better than anywhere I've ever worked. I barely work a full 40 hours. Make your monthly goal over by 1? you get to work from home once a week. Make it over by 2? you get 1/2 day once a week. Make it by 3? you get an entire day off once a week. They are really good about trying to keep us retained and not burning us out. Yes Modis has had a massive layoff in the past but they are working on making it better by not hiring 15+ people at once. Everyone who was laid off was salty about it but they didnt realize they had to do it and it was everyone who was recently hired - THIS WAS NOT BASED ON PERFORMANCE. All of them were able to find new jobs within a month anyway. The layoff was due to them over forecasting - not the best thing they did but they had to do it. Team building events every 2 times a month. Monthly paid lunches if you make your goals. Metrics are fairly easy to hit when we have jobs to work on. You can roll 40 hours of PTO into the next year. Yes the base salary is lower than most staffing agencies in the are, but when taking a position like this you have to think about what they offer us over what you're getting in return. In my opinion I love it.

Cons

Some of your managers are micro managers - it's obvious when 10+ people have complained about them and 15+ people have left because of them over the past months. Maybe you should listen to your workers when they say some of your managers... SHOULD NOT be in a management position ?? Or take a look at the statistics of how many people have left because of them. Base is low (commissions can make up for it) When you're only producing 3 jobs around the holidays due to the slower season please consider lowering your metrics as they become EXTREMELY hard to hit. Many people were stressed and burnt out as were told we still have to make it to 10 but have 3 jobs to work that are requiring very high qualified hard to get people The sales team sucks - sometimes I don't even think they're working half the time. It makes you wonder if higher ups in the company are just sitting back and doing nothing. They never seem to follow through or bring any real business. Sometimes I won't get feed back at all on the people I send over or it won't be for 3+ months and it's super frustrating and it's hard when you're competing with 50 other staffing agencies who have better sales people.

Pros

I am a current employee with Modis as a national recruiter. I just wanted to say that the training program they have was great and definitely beneficial in my learning. I liked how we were able to learn each aspect of the recruiting process bit by bit throughout the program so that it was easy to master each part; rather than being thrown to the wolves and having to learn everything from sourcing to interview preps and extending offers all at the same time. In comparison to other training programs I have been a part of, it was a very nice change of pace to have the recruiter/sourcer relationship, where you can work directly under a senior recruiter to get feedback and have them act as a mentor to your learning. Weekly webinars were also a great learning tool, being able to get deeper insight into the roles that we are recruiting for helps to create more confidence in knowing the skill sets necessary to fulfill our job requirements. All in all, the sourcer training program definitely set me up for success to feel 100% confident in my recruiting abilities moving forward.

Cons

For the most part there are no cons that I have been aware of yet. Of course any good job is not going to be easy and there is effort that needs to be put forth to be successful, but Modis definitely provides the tools necessary to success.
