Lots of hours available Some jobs tip (some better than others) Some jobs are mindless and easy Lots of other young people saving money for school It's not hard to compete as long as you just show up and work hard (Plus most of the jobs are easy)
Cons
Some people don't do their job well and it makes everyone else's job tougher. Most of the jobs are mindless and repetitive. Sometimes customers prompt arguments from very straightforward situations. Sometimes customers lie to get free stuff. Some managers hide in their offices & make exceptions to rules for customers that won't go away easily. Job performances are almost never higher than fair. Almost everyone gets the same average to control pay raises. Plus the pay raises are so small they don't even matter but it's nice to account for yearly inflation.
