Pros
Great place to work if you are on the fast track to senior leadership. This will require very strong political skills and the willingness to throw anyone under the bus getting in your way. If you manage to navigate the right path you will be rewarded very well financially and have a lot of opportunities to advance your career.
Cons
For the 90%+ people not on the leadership fast track I think you will be better off somewhere else. Most people go several years between raises. If you are doing exceptional work you will get very large raises and bonuses. If you are at the low end of your salary range you will get an average raise. If you have an above average salary (but within the market range) and are meeting all expectations, but not doing what your manager can justify as exceptional you will not ever get raise. Not until your salary falls below the average, even if you are doing above average work. They will say your salary is based on the dollar value you create, but then provide no explanation of how that could possibly be calculated. They basically use psychology to convince you that you don't deserve a raise. Also, expect management above you to take all the credit for your work. That is what enables them to move up and is a common practice. Last, layoffs are very common. When people are laid off the company will say they are doing the employee a favor by freeing them up to create more value someone else. Your purpose in life is to create value for society through your job and you are not creating enough value at Molex, therefor you should see the layoff as a very positive change enabling you to serve society better by going somewhere else. They are very big on using psychology....
