Pros

Mountain State Software Solutions was my first job in IT after changing careers. I have now worked for multiple clients successfully and the atmosphere at MS3 has greatly helped foster that success. MS3 provided a road map to what skills I needed to learn to be successful and has continued and innovate and update its training program to meet the needs of customers. What I most appreciate about MS3 is how they gave me a road map for self learning and then demonstrated the way to seek support through internal company channels. MS3 is a place for people who don't want their hand held and flourish in an opportunity to show what they are capable of. The employee atmosphere is non competitive and helpful at every level. Aaron, the CEO is constantly reaching out to provide guidance to all employees and it is encouraged for all employees to help out one another.

Cons

Like most consulting, jobs can come up quickly so you have to be ready to sometimes make a quick change or learn a technology quickly.

Pros

Engineers are very smart and fun Lots of things to learn from your peers CEO used to be in the office often and be closer to his employees Great place for fresh out of college person to start their career Annual company retreat to tropical country like Mexico or Punta Cana

Cons

Let's start: CFO is also HR, which is conflict of interests, also he's extremely stingy. Got promoted to a team lead position? Well, you will get a percentage of company shares, which means nothing until company is sold, forget about pay raise. COVID spread prevention measures are at its low, the company was WFH more days because of mold in the basement, than pandemic. Zero trust to employees, management thinks people don't work while they are at home, it is very hard to get partial WFH, not talking about full Company culture died in summer of 2021, not sure what happened, but all of the monthly employee appreciation events disappeared from calendars. CEO doesn't participate in company's life anymore. College graduates are forced to sign a contract where they would own $$ to a company if they quit earlier than certain time, which leads to people quitting at around 1-1.5 years of working here. Employee retention rate is very low, high employee turnover. The only solid training that was in place was Jr Developer training, all other hires - figure it out yourself Company retreat is the only thing that tries to cover up all of the non-sense that people are dealing with.
