Pros
The benefits of working for Muckleshoot Tribal government can’t be beat: wages, insurance, 401K, sick and vacation time as well as too many paid days off to count. The Muckleshoot community members are slow to trust but once you have earned their trust, they consider you a part of the family in a way no other group will.
Cons
This is specific to the Behavioral Health management team…if the SUD manager feels threatened by you, he will wage a psychological war against you that will have you wondering about your sanity. The Director is complicit with him and is a snake in the grass, smiling and assuring you she is on your team and then siding with him anyways. There have been more than 10 of us who have left BHP over the last 2 years because of this hostile/toxic work environment. Some of us were able to secure other positions within the Tribe so that we could continue to work with the community members we love so much. Some of us were forced to seek employment outside of Muckleshoot.
