A shell of its former self - Account Manager Mural Employee Review

Mural used to be an incredibly successful company with more demand than they knew what to do with. Over the last 2-3 years, there were so many opportunities to go in a direction that would allow them to be on par with their competitors, but weird decisions were made and priorities constantly shifted, leaving Mural to fall behind. When I look at the pros I listed, I feel like I should be rating Mural higher. What more could you ask for than great people, good benefits, decent pay, and good-work life balance?? The great work-life balance is because hardly any work is being done, leaving the product light years behind the competitors. Not sustainable. It feels like everyone is just waiting for the ship to sink, with top performers leaving weekly. The decent pay and commission structure is great, but it's only a matter of time before the remaining big-name customers churn and move to more stable companies that aren't constantly changing their priorities. There is so much frustration from customers due to constantly changing Account Managers, CSMs, and licensing structure. It is also almost impossible to land any new business, as the space is so saturated and Mural has very few differentiators at this point. Higher price point than competitors with less features and integrations. The H&W stipend is also great, but I can't anticipate this will go on for much longer as leadership looks to cut costs wherever they can (maybe it will go towards a higher company match on the 401k vs the 2% they offer now). Mural somehow still has such great people, but more and more of the top performers are jumping ship. It's only a matter of time before the people who made Mural great will be gone too (if they haven't left already). Beyond this, morale is so incredibly low and the product is becoming less and less of a necessity. The days of needing a product like Mural for remote work are more or less over.
