Pros

There is some great talent but they usually leave or get pushed out by a big ego with way less skill. Decent pay. New leadership is decisive unlike the last.

Cons

Run, don’t walk, from this place! It’s made up of wannabe execs or washed up talent from obscure or irrelevant industries cosplaying as a tech company. There’s no innovation, no POV - everything is just for show. The leadership team is only concerned about appeasing the board and furthering their own careers and “brands.” They don’t care about the employees and they use playbooks straight out of the dot com era for their strategies. You have “thought leaders” who drive no measurable growth and scared ICs that basically keep operations going. If you can suck up to leadership and navigate contradicting instructions, mindless metaphors, and working just for the sake of working but never really moving the needle, you will do well here. Oh, they have a questionable history with expectant parents.

Pros

Great people and at least when I joined very international

Cons

When I started I loved it, then the changes in the company and the tech debt gradually killed my soul. Priorities and values kept shifting. Too much code built on top of spaghetti and many have VERY strong opinions about standards that often conflict. I give a low d&i rating because it seemed to me they were pushing out international engineers in favor of US. I can understand wanting your employees to all be on the same page in terms of language, culture, etc. but as a developer in the US, I think it's arrogant and short-sighted to assume that engineers in the US, particularly the bay area are somehow inherently better.
