Pros

The people are among the best I've worked with. Pay and benefits are good.

Cons

Can be difficult to advance in some departments due to longevity of employees. Silos still exist, but are being broken down in some areas.

Pros

Enriching learning experience. Director of Legal & Reg. is a wonderful mentor. MPW has great leadership with a congenial workplace that is professional, but not intimidating. Management is responsive to reasonable requests and accommodations. Overall great place where even an intern feels appreciated.

Cons

No real room for advancement in legal. 45 min commute from Iowa City (but worth it IMO). May set unreal expectations for future workplaces. Not much diversity in executive/leadership, but there seems a willingness to change that.
