Pros
Good products, good ownership group, work/life balance, fair comp
Cons
Management is the worst. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m the lowest level of sales, or I’m just sales in general, but managers of are of almost no help beyond how to contact the prospect. Sales managers only manage the numbers and have absolutely zero people skills. Can you please just give them a management book to read or something? Has anyone ever told them that it doesn’t matter what deal strategy you have if you demotivate the crap out of your salespeople? And it’s not just about being nice, seriously provide some management training. Also, the managers outside of sales department could not care any less about the salespeople. (but really it’s the customer they don’t care to help bc anything I ask about is on the clients behalf) They act like theyre here for you when you meet in person, but numerous time haven’t responded to emails or to help with any development whatsoever. Not to mention the totally non existent training program beyond boot camp (which is not as relevant as it could be) So you don’t offer training for aes, but managers won’t take the time to help when it’s specifically requested. Lucky you have good salespeople that know what they’re doing, but I can tell you with certainty that this aspect of our culture is a big deal and actively being discussed by new hires and sales in general. People aren’t appreciating being brushed aside bc it’s not important to management. This is a real problem, not just a random Glassdoor complaint. It would be great to feel like the organization as a whole has my back and cares about my own success, not just the managers commit number. And also when I ask for help it would better to know that the individual behind the email I’m asking for help from isn’t just sitting there rolling there eyes. Aren’t we a team working together for the benefit of our clients?
