Pros

-Since everyone is equally as miserable as you, you develop strong bonds with the people you work with every day. -Genuinely have a unique vision of helping families in the recruiting process

Cons

These are based solely on my experience as a scout coordinator and national/head scout. I cannot accurately speak for other positions in the company. -Management completely abuses the company vision. "Helping families" really means "make as much money as possible. Employees aren't stupid and see right through it. -Daily and weekly "pep talks" are a load of garbage, Employees understand that we have sales goals, don't use fancy language to try and convince us otherwise. -Hiring process and interview does not accurately describe the day to day dealings of the company. -This place is a call center! Call it one. Having one call center outsource things to another call center only drives the point home. -Senior management does not care. A group of 20+ employees brought their concerns to the CEO in a face to face meeting and were hardly recognized. -CEO lives a "jet set lifestyle." Hardly ever in the office and has no knowledge of the pulse of the company. Still pretends to be actively involved. -Other senior management are bad at managing. More likely rewarded for being with the company for x amount of years. -No set hours, but expect 8+ hours a day. You can leave after 8 hours, if you feel comfortable with where your sales goals are at. Work life balance is non-existent. -Will blatantly string employees along until they want to get rid of you. Will tell you not to worry about an issue you have and say something completely different months later. -Constant change to sales methods for the worse. The wheel doesn't need reinventing every 3 months. -Turnover of employees is astronomical. Never seen anything like it. Average time spent at NCSA is probably 5 months. -Micromanagement is an understatement. -On top of everything, parents and families are skeptical of the company more often than not. As employees we were told not to mention there was a cost, even if families were explicitly asking for that information.

Pros

The people are the secret sauce of NCSA - it's a great team that wants win, innovate, and grow together. Lots of opportunities to provide feedback and connect with leadership.

Cons

The work can be challenging and very demanding.

Pros

- Work from home - Get to talk about sports every day, and getting to learn about new sports - Manager was awesome, but I may have been lucky - I heard bad things about other managers! - There are about 10 teams of Recruiting Coordinators, all performing the same role, and each team being managed differently. Not sure if this is a pro or con

Cons

- Making around 100 calls/day - Leads are technically not cold, but they might as well be - lots of families didn't realize what they were signing up for - Over half of the leads in my funnel every day were recycled, i.e. we have called them in the past and they were not interested. Sometimes leads were recycled upwards of 10 times - Making phone calls from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm local time - often calling families at 7 -8 pm their time - Will likely be flagged if you go more than 20 minutes without making a call unless communicating with your manager
