Don't try to care about your job, you'll just end up frustrated. - Mainframe Programmer NatWest Group Employee Review

Pros

There is a good final pension scheme, one of the last remaining in the UK. Colleagues are naturally helpful, except when management ordains that they shouldn't be. There are some great buildings, although the management of those buildings leaves something to be desired. We sponsor the Williams F1 Team!

Cons

Career choice and employee freedom is pushed, but it's all just words. Management responsibilities such as security, training, career stability, appraisals are now employee responsibilities, with no extra training, money or time. Newly refurbished buildings in Edinburgh have a chronic lack of desks, for which nothing is being done. All staff events are called that take most staff out of the office for a half-day or more to bore them rigid. 'Advanced Working' means keeping all your possesions in a little box. The biggest innovation in the last five years is 'A blu-tac free building'.
