Great team and vision, but pay could improve - Help Desk Technician National Benefit Services Employee Review

NBS allows(I assume this is still true) to be fully remote. My coworkers in the IS department where all excellent and IT/IS leadership where some of the most supportive people I have worked with in my career.

There are only a couple of bummer points at NBS for technology. 1.) Salary is on the low side, but this was somewhat off set in that the benefits are pretty good 2.) IT/IS staff are kind of on their own for equipment. You can get a couple of old monitors and or a thinclient, and all dev work was done on a VM which was a not always ideal.

I enjoyed the work I done and the team I worked with and for the most part our supervisor did at least "act" like she had our back.

My supervisor would always say our team meetings/huddles were free zones to vent or share frustrations. Please beware, even if they say this if you share your frustrations, you will be fired with no notice just like I was.
