Pros
Good people - still friends with many former co workers. Decent benefits Gave me a chance with very little experience Pretty flexible with time off and emergencies
Cons
Impossible to advance unless you are in very tight with the family. Managers (mostly family and family friends) have no experience outside of NBS. Far and away the least qualified and most inept leadership team I've encountered. Willing to spend money on almost anything other than retaining talent. Very weak salary for all outside of senior leadership. An example of how out of touch management is: one day in the break room an upper manager was seeking input from all who would listen on whether he should buy a vacation home now and finance part of it or wait a year and pay cash. It was hard to feel the struggle of his dilemma when were just trying to eek out enough money to fill the tank with gas to get to work. I had to leave the company to get a decent raise and to be treated with respect by management.
