Pros
Flexibility, remote work, promotes from within often.
Cons
I’ve been with the company many years and enjoy what I do. However, the pay for the amount of work I do and the knowledge I have is flat out abysmal. When I look at what other companies pay for my job, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Turnover has become a lot more frequent, training is a lot less frequent, and all the overtime is exhausting. Nepotism is strong in this company, it makes it very difficult to move up if you want to do so. Instead of taking extra money and reinvesting it into current employees, they bought another firm… and empty promises that were made about technology stipends and raises stayed empty. I used to think I’d stay here my whole career, but I now feel that it is not a possibility.
