Pros

Working from home is nice.

Cons

If you're someone who enjoys being the face of a company that seemingly lacks support for its employees, and if you appreciate minimal training for client-facing roles, then this might be the perfect fit for you! The job postings for NBS often boast about a "wonderful working environment," but it quickly becomes apparent that their definition of wonderful is vastly different from reality. In truth, the working environment they create is a cocktail of chaos and dysfunction. One notable issue is the way they structure positions as 'exempt' salary. It seems like a deliberate attempt to turn a blind eye to the considerable time and effort employees invest in their work. If NBS were to pay hourly, perhaps there would be more attention to the overwhelming workload and the time required to rectify the inevitable mistakes that permeate each department. My time with NBS has left me with nothing but disgust and embarrassment. Daily interactions with clients and brokers are marred by the undesirable positions the company puts its employees in. The prevalence of nepotism within the company is unbelievable. It's disheartening to see individuals leading departments without the necessary qualifications, and the repercussions of this are evident in the daily operations. The company's apparent disregard for its employees is a constant source of frustration. Despite the efforts of a few good leaders, there seems to be little hope for change. It's disheartening to witness a company built on nepotism, where leadership lacks the competence required for their roles.

Pros

I enjoyed the work I done and the team I worked with and for the most part our supervisor did at least "act" like she had our back.

Cons

My supervisor would always say our team meetings/huddles were free zones to vent or share frustrations. Please beware, even if they say this if you share your frustrations, you will be fired with no notice just like I was.
