Pros

NBS can be a very flexible company to work for. They take pride in being family-oriented and understand when family emergencies arise. In my direct team, I have been most fortunate in being able to truly express to my peers and direct leader how I feel about the company as a whole without fear of retaliation. Unfortunately, this is where the pros end.

Cons

I think the best way to list the cons is by creating a list and boy is there a lot. 1. Employee benefits: benefits offered here are atrocious I have seen better benefits packages offered to full-time fast food workers than at NBS. One would think that being a benefits company they would offer competitive benefits this is false. 2. Pay (Varies on department): In my department pay increases are seen as a hot commodity. I have regularly received nominations for being an excellent team player but will only receive a pat on the back and a gift card, call it complaining but employees who rise above the occasion and make strides to improve the department overall should be compensated accordingly for going above and beyond. After a couple of years of this one tends to lose the drive to being an exemplary employee. 3. Executives/CEO: It is astounding to me the utter disconnect that leadership has with the average day-to-day worker. This disconnect has led to profit loss, one exec may have a bright idea but fail in fleshing out that idea by choosing to ignore the department(s)/clients it would directly affect. I honestly don't know how NBS keeps consistent business relationships.

Pros

I enjoyed the work I done and the team I worked with and for the most part our supervisor did at least "act" like she had our back.

Cons

My supervisor would always say our team meetings/huddles were free zones to vent or share frustrations. Please beware, even if they say this if you share your frustrations, you will be fired with no notice just like I was.
