Pros
Work from home, benefits and coworkers. The best thing about this job is the relationship you build with people in the front line with you.
Cons
Prepare to enter purgatory. POSTIVE REVIEWS ARE ROOKIES THAT JUST CAME OUT OF TRAINING, THEY "ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO THESE REVIEWS" EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL IN THE BEGINING WHILE TRAINING. THEN YOU ENTER REALITY. Alright no more caps lol here we gooooooooo. If they hire you for AMONE I am sorry I really am. You will get a lead transferred by another company with the client thinking they are getting a loan, but here you are ready to bait and switch them and tell them nope you don't qualify but here is what we do, you have to default on payments, credit will be ruined and you need to pay us monthly installment while your accounts are defaulting, clients mostly respond negatively and you basically hate your job at that moment. Now the other side is different not as bad as the Amone side but keep reading. "Top workplace to work" don't fall for this. They tell us the surveys are anonymous, but then if you don't do the survey, they start to harass you and tell you that is mandatory (How do they know?) The survey starts asking questions that could pinpoint right back to you, so you technically force to lie due to fear of retaliation. They feed all the rookies, make their numbers look real good, but in reality, the rookies are not going to get paid on those deals being put up early on, you have to build your pipe and they are counting for the rookies to make mistakes when setting up first payment dates. The company will still get paid, but you won't earn commission because you won't meet the tier to be commissionable. Once you have your pipeline built you start to get the real leads, the leads that are not so easy, the leads that are being sent by a third party, leads that are bottom of the barrel that hurts your key performance metric and end up getting coached or put under pressure. The only way you can make money if you work from 9am to 9pm 6 days a week. YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER. They continue to hire more and more and more new sales people; leads are being stretched where there are no leads available most of the time. NOW LET'S TOUCH ON MICROMANAGEMENT, it has gotten worst and getting a lot of worst. I honestly can't believe I lasted this long. If you are not from the New York office good luck. Upper management are arrogant. They boast about what they have done within the company when they had maybe 100 employees in sales, now they have over 1,000 employees in sales is a whole different ball game. They give you personal choice holidays but can't take it just anytime only you can't personally choose your own holiday anymore. It will be limited to your birthday or religious holiday. Diversity is mostly one sided to be honest. You will have transfer agents from the Dominican Republic transferring trash leads because they get paid per transfers, while you take on a lead that is just a waste of time. You can barely understand the transfer agent so imagine how the clients feel, they mostly think you in another country than the USA.
