Pros
Work from home (If you enjoy being chained to a desk all day, it’s definitely not the work from home job you may be envisioning.)
Cons
Call center environment vs true insurance agent experience. TIGHT hold on your money. Very particular with wording about certain things. I gathered it was to avoid some legal things. For example they call any money your get from closing sales incentive. Obviously it’s an incentive to sell but if you say commission they will correct you. Little things like that made me feel uneasy. It seemed like it could be because with them using the word incentive it makes it easier for them when they say, not only do you have to make that sale BUT you also have to make the sale using these 3 key phrases and other crazy specific things like that in order to get the money. Also if they say it is salary “plus” incentive please disregard that! The pay structure is so you have to hit a threshold before getting the incentive. They will try to word it a certain to make you think otherwise. I’m not saying you can’t make money, but please be aware of the structure. Don’t even get me started on the training. That was just a complete circus. I often left the day thinking “is something wrong with me?” I genuinely felt like I was in a mental boxing ring all day. Wasn’t my cup of tea AT ALL.
