Where do I start. I am currently employed as a nurse at the Yarmouth location. I would not recommend working there to anyone. National does not care about the employees or staff. Rotating door of unit managers (5 in 3 years), DON (3 in 3 years) Administrators (3 in 3 years). The only time the building gets corporate support is when the state survey is due or has had a bad review. There are workers here that have been reported for abuse and had nothing done about it. We have had 2 provider groups walk out (one of them 2x) for multiple reasons. This last time corporates answer was to replace 4 providers with one at about 1/3 of the in facility time and the only one to take call. Resident are missing med doses due to no doctor available. Residents on death bed without appropriate meds to treat them because we cannot get orders for them. You die with more dignity face down in a gas station bathroom than you do at Brentwood. As a nurse you are jeopardizing you license every day you punch in. They hire anyone that says yes. Including past employees who diverted meds (and did it again). They entice new staff with fat bonus and promises. They pay new employees better rates than staff that have been there. They take ANY admission. Most with extreme behaviors and do not provide the staff with any support of education or extra staff. They lie and cover up stuff from the state. The only time the management come out of their office is when the state is there. The only time we are appropriately staffed is when the state is there. Do your research before taking a job at this place. I chose one star because I had to.
