Comfortable job, good work environment - Legal Assistant/Paralegal Nationwide Court Services Employee Review

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nationwide Court Services for some time now, and I can honestly say that it’s been an incredibly positive experience. From day one, the company has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, offering all the tools and resources needed to succeed in my role. The leadership team is fantastic—approachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in the professional growth of their employees. They provide regular feedback and offer opportunities for development, ensuring that I always feel supported and motivated to continue learning and advancing in my career. What stands out most about Nationwide Court Services is the culture. There’s a strong sense of teamwork, and everyone is committed to delivering high-quality service to clients while maintaining a positive, respectful, and collaborative environment within the company. The work is engaging and meaningful, and there’s a real sense of pride in the work we do as a team. The company also offers great work-life balance, which is something I deeply appreciate. VP does try to make it a better work environment. Tries to do different things for the employees to keep them engaged and happy. Tries to keep morale up. Unfortunately, most employees would be happy if they received better pay. For the most part the employees get along and build their own relationships with each other which makes the workplace more enjoyable and bearable.

HR fails to meet the standards/morals that a basic HR employee should have. If HR doesn’t like you as a person this will reflect by how you’re treated and how far they will go to help you. HR should treat everyone the same regardless of their personal opinions/feelings but that is not the case here. HR is involved in way more things than the average HR employee should be involved in. They are in basically every single meeting that doesn’t have to do with HR and then falls short of the basic knowledge and skills of actual HR responsibilities. They definitely aren’t familiar with legal things that fall under HR which is very concerning as that is their whole job. And nothing that you ask to stay confidential stays confidential. It usually ends in a meeting with HR and the VP and the individual you are complaining about (if that’s what the conversation with HR was about) The company also hides your vacation and personal time which used to be easily visible on the employee portal. half the time you ask how much time you have you don’t receive a response. It just feels like they’re hiding something or cheating you out of time since you can’t track it or see it anymore. Another Big issue is It depends on how much you’re liked if they like you and you do something EXTREMELY unethical they won’t fire you and will make up an excuse as to why you should keep your job. If they don’t care for you theyll write you up for minor things and then they’ll fire you. Everyone is not given the same chances. You will never be fairly compensated for the work you do you have to beg for a raise and it’s usually barely $1. Which makes you feel undervalued and unappreciated. Especially when you see people who barely do ANYTHING being paid more than you.
