Pros
I like working at Navos for several reasons: Flexible schedule Good Pay The clients - helping and counseling the youth and helping them make safely through another day. Good health benefits Training - I like all the training that is offered to all Navos employees (CPS).
Cons
The lack of staff on certain shifts (particular day and swing shifts), it makes is challenging for safety and taking proper breaks. The lack of accountability that is held to staff members who constantly show up to work late or constantly calls out. There should be a eight minute window for tardiness. Those who come to work late three/ four times or more in one month should get a verbal warning that goes into their file. If tardy five times or more or show the same pattern each month should have one day of work for one day off the schedule. Being aloud to work minimal overtime No more ten hour shifts or four day work weeks. Working this job is both physically and mentally draining. And working four days (ten hour shifts) or working three days (twelve hour shifts) allow you to have a third day off. And it really helps us mentally a keeps us from getting burnt out so easily. To reduce the tardiness and call-outs. There should be a $50 bonus added to MHT's pay check for those who have perfect attendance for each month (something like that). A lack of annual raises or pay increase. I have been here going on three years and I have only had a .30 cent raise since 2018 (but nurses are being paid ten thousand dollars for recruiting). Are there performance evaluations? MHT''s aren't included in decision making for clients. Whereas MHT's could be a valuable asset and could add valuable information about clients du to the fact we are on the floor with the client in direct contact. Some of feel unsupported by upper management and excluded (hints all of the exiting of at least five employees in the last two months) . The quality of food that the clients are being fed. The youth are eating a lot of peanut butter sandwiches throughout each and week. This is not proper diet. Some of the sandwiches are delivered and the next day the lettuce is dark green, the tomatoes are over ripped and the bread is soggy. The clients were being fed a better quality of food two years ago. There is no gym or fitness room for the clients. There needs to be a fitness room with cardio, etc.
