Pros
Good people and it was interesting to learn about the the roles that associations play in any particular industry.
Cons
Work is incredibly repetitive (even for a sales gig) and you're not given much of an opportunity as a new rep. There is also no question that middle management has its favorites. If you don't get off to a good start, they will start giving you junk territory/projects that makes it nearly impossible to climb out of the hole. Company ran into big money troubles over the Summer of 2016 and laid off over 40 people out of the blue. The CFO was making huge mistakes with accounts payable for months and it led to a lot of association not receiving their payments. The company appeared to try and hide this for awhile too. They went through a huge sales rep hiring spree and fired the CFO halfway through it after finding out about the mess, but instead of doing a hiring freeze they kept adding on sales reps despite knowing about the money issues. Most of the reps remaining under two years are looking for other opportunities b/c senior management is incompetent, uncaring and will lie straight to your face.
