salaries too low and never go up ( i was a tenured professor). Discouragement and misery reign. Least intellectual environment I've ever experienced. Deeply sexist and a pervasive undercurrent of racism (full disclosure, I am White). Salaries went down over ten years given the give backs to the state (vis a vi healthcare costs and retirement fund nonsense) and the workload only increased. Quite corrupt. Those at the top get more money each year and professors and staff do all the work. Professors couldn't even use the gym for free.
