Pros

Good location with access to subway. Nice perks with free fruit, bagels and access to a gym. Although numbers are dwindling, some smart people work here.

Cons

Company culture is very disappointing. Unfortunately management don't recognize that there is a problem with the company results and are committed to staying the course. Working for a shrinking company is never much fun. VP's and directors are leaving every month and there is very little from a product pipeline point of view to get people excited. It's a great shame as there are few Canadian tech companies doing well right now. A previous poster was right, I think some of the reviews here are staged.

As NexJ’s HR Director, these type of reviews are hard to respond to. However I cannot let narrowly construed false statements go by, especially when they misrepresent the company and unfairly discourage those who enjoy working here. To answer this post, and others, I think it is important to share some of our story. From 2007 to 2011, NexJ was the 5th fastest growing technology in Canada according to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50TM. In 2012 and 2013, our revenue fell short of plan, which can happen to company’s who are on a high growth trajectory. As a result, we looked inward and took swift action to evolve our business. We realized that we were operating two businesses at different stages of growth. Our Finance business was mature and working towards profitability. Our Health business, which was formed from our CEO’s vision to apply the people-centered lessons he learned in financial services CRM to healthcare, was in a start-up growth stage. All the while our employee base has grown to 196 with the Finance business making up 81% of our employee base with the remaining 19% in the Health business. Here are some simple facts for the record. For our Finance business: • We've developed and have started to implement 3 great new products this year • By the end of 2015, our software will be used in an additional 30 countries across 4 continents • We’ve started international careers for 9 of our employees • 26 different NexJ employees have travelled to Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Bangalore, and London to sell and implement our software • We officially opened NexJ’s Australian branch office • We have seen YTD growth from prior year • We’ve hired 38 new employees, increasing our overall team size by 12%, and we are still hiring • NexJ’s YTD turnover is down 20% and a VP or a Director is not resigning every month as alluded to. • With renewed growth and a focus on engagement, I hear often that NexJ is a positive, great place to work. On the Health side: • Our small but mighty Health team is making great strides forward. • Our Pan-Canadian Prostate Cancer survivorship portal continues to develop • We are live with therapeutic decision support and a training program for professionals in how to best support patients who are terminally ill • We are in production test for lifestyle management and advanced care planning and are finalizing 3 other interventions. • We are live in the Chatham–Kent HealthLink. The highest needs patients are being monitored using NexJ Health Coach to improve management of their chronic condition and avoid hospital readmissions. Results with initial patients are extremely positive and the Ministry of Health is monitoring our progress with interest Lastly you may have heard that we are spinning-off our Healthcare business which will position us to achieve full potential and increased value on both of our businesses.

Pros

I've just started but I like it so far: - Everybody is super friendly and co-operative - Flexible - Lots of smart and experienced people - Lots of info on the product and processes

Cons

A lot of reading materials are available to better explain the product but being a more of a visual learner, videos would probably work better (there are videos as well but they don't cover 100% of it)

Cons

Leadership living off their laurels from the internet bubble. Not willing to progress. CEO thinks fear is a motiviator
