Pros
The only reason to work here is the pay. I know others working in the same position for other companies but are paid about 15-20 less than what NextGen pays.
Cons
Management does not know how to communicate with employees at this location (Hunt Valley, MD). Training is of little importance to this organization. Feedback only occurs when the individual is on the way out the door or once a year for review. Good luck using your sick days-- new policy requires hourly employees to use 2 days of vacation days before being allowed to use sick days and even then a doctor's note is required to access one's sick time. Every minute of employee time is tracked through a software program and a hand scanner (time clock). Get used to filth here too because office spaces (cubicles, carpet, walls) haven't been cleaned in a long time, don't even think about using the kitchen. I sound like a disgruntled employee-- I quit, I was not fired. I felt let down because my director said what I wanted to hear during my interview, but failed to act after I accepted the job. I had great hope for growing professionally in this organization, but quickly learned I was on my own to learn the job, rarely received support or feedback from supervisor's. This organization has a lot of improvements to make if they hope to retain quality employees. During my short time working here, I witnessed an exodus of long-term employees. Yes, I did see several promotions given, but usually because the individuals were "buddies" with management, not because they were qualified, competent employees.
