Pros

The only saving grace for NICE was the people I worked directly with. If I didn't have them, I'd have left LONG before I did. Health, 401k, and PTO benefits are adequate but nothing to write home about.

Cons

The only way to get a promotion/new job is for one to become vacant and even then, they likely won't fill the role and will just pass the work on to existing employees. Understaffing is a common occurrence and seemingly a tool to keep costs down and their numbers looking pristine. There is very little upward mobility potential. The average employee is grossly underpaid for the work they do which is why the turnover is so high. Although, their internal numbers will never accurately reflect that because they'll classify someone's leaving reason due to salary as "Mutual Agreement" or "Other Opportunity" instead so their QBR numbers look better. It seemingly takes an act of God for any title corrections, pay increases, or other administrative action to be taken. But if a high enough level employee threatens to quit they'll magically come up with the money to bump their salary and change their title. While they can't do more than 3% salary increases (if you're a top performer), they can find the funds to do extravagant parties (only in their Hoboken or Israel locations, of course), send gifts to employees around the world, and do contests with wild prizes like sending entire families to Disney for a week. Their culture is basically boiled down to "do more with less" and "do what I ask, and don't ask questions about it". Communication is awful across the board. DE&I is a joke. Their only focus is on improving numbers related to women, and even that feels like a marketing ploy to fill in their LinkedIn postings. In my opinion, this is largely affected by having Israel native leaders who are not as familiar with the history and culture in the USA and who refuse to take feedback from those who ARE familiar. Attempting to have a global approach in this area is a huge miss. Senior Management is completely out of touch from their employees. Work life balance is all over the place. Many employees put in well above 40 hours a week on a regular basis, but with everyone being salaried they don't have to pay overtime. And after they spent 3 years with everyone working from home (quite successfully), they are demanding employees come back to the office 3 days a week for a hybrid schedule. Where this REALLY doesn't make sense, is that most teams have employees all over the country or even the globe. They'll never be in the same office with each other and will do video calls, so what's the point?

Pros

Position in the market forces the company to evaluate emerging technologies early and often. This creates a great opportunity to build expertise in revolutionary technologies. Unlike many large corporations, NiCE offers an opportunity to learn and participate in areas outside of your immediate job description.

Cons

Diversity of long tenured employees dating back to time as startup and recent employees joining from large enterprises can lead to differences in opinion on internal process transformation. This is manageable, but requires internal selling.
