While an important aspect of providing therapy services in a skilled nursing setting, expectations for strong supportive documentation seems to trump providing actual patient care. In the beginning of the pandemic, regional and cooperate communication and support were almost non-existent. Clinicians were left to figure things out with local administration without support or guidance from regional team. Wages were determined by the administrator. So therapists in sister buildings or even the same building could be making a significantly larger hourly wage depending on who was the administrator when hired. I was making a lot more hourly than some of my colleagues simple because I was hired at the right time (literally months difference) Strong push to pick up medicare part B patients with was mostly medically appropriate and needed, but occasional questionable. Dementia care program was poorly implemented and managed.
