Pros

Healthcare staff foster a team player environment and genuinely put patient care first. 5 star rated SNFs.

Cons

No annual reviews or cost of living increases. Benefits are very poor. Health insurance is 3-4 times the cost compared to other health care companies. Only 2 weeks vacation for first 5 years. Nursing paperwork is highly redundant. Corporate will pump hundreds of thousands of dollars into renovations of facilities but will not invest in their employees unless you are an administrator. Management only cares about maintaining their five star Medicare rating but puts finances over patient care. High staff turnover rate particularly in nursing due to extremely high workload and little financial incentive.

Pros

The owner and upper management really stress quality care and doing what is right for the patients we serve, making it easy to stand out amongst your competition and be chosen as the rehabilitation facility for nearly every patient. Furthermore, when you perform both clinically and financially, the owner and upper management really do what they can to reward you not only financially, but with opportunities to mentor other administrators and grow yourself as you teach.

Cons

The emphasis on high quality care can drive someone insane; especially those who have never had a medical background. It can be a difficult task as a male to work with SO MANY female nurses. There are a lot of politics at play in a small company, and it is definitely felt at this one.
