Pros

The training that I received was wonderful. The company is large and had the resources to provide what ever was needed at the facility. The company also reinvested with building improvements and equipment. Nursing was able to attend and participate in state wide conferences.

Cons

The DON is very busy but you were expected to cover Nursing shifts that you were not able to find help for. This was in addition to the daily DON work. At one point I was covering CNA shifts as well. This often occurred during holidays and on weekends. I was actually sad to leave the team but was tired and burned out. At the time, the medical insurance was expensive and we lost some people after the acquisition of our facility.
